Exporting Circuit Data to PartQuest™ Explorer

2023.04.26

Points of this article

・When detailed editing of circuit data is necessary, the data can be exported to PartQuest™ Explorer.

・Exporting is performed simply by clicking "Edit in PartQuest Explorer" in the lower right of the screen.

Please note that the information in this article is current as of August 31, 2021.

In the ROHM Solution Simulator, there are limits to the changes that can be made to component properties. But when changes to a simulation circuit, addition of components, modification of detailed parameters or the like are necessary, the simulation circuit can be exported to the PartQuest™ Explorer.

Those persons who have not read any introductory articles prior to this one should consult “Starting a Simulation Circuit in the ROHM Solution Simulator” to start up the example simulation circuit. The following link can also be used to start the simulation directly.

For a quick introduction to methods of operation, please refer to the “Hands-On User’s Manual(PDF)“.

Exporting Circuit Data to PartQuest™ Explorer

Exporting circuit data to PartQuest™ Explorer is extremely simple. In the lower right of the circuit diagram display area is an “Edit in PartQuest Explorer” button; simply click on this (Fig. 1). Upon doing so, the PartQuest™ Explorer screen opens, and the circuit data is automatically exported.

Fig. 2 shows the PartQuest™ Explorer screen and the Property Editor for PWM in the example problem. In Fig. 2 of “Customization of Simulations“, all PWM properties other than FSW were displayed in gray, meaning that editing was not possible; but in PartQuest™ Explorer, all are shown in white and can be edited.

On the left side of the screen is a list of components; components can be added to an existing circuit, a power supply can be added, and a circuit can be freely modified. When executing a simulation, use “Save As” to save the results to any of the Workgroups within your own account. For details of registration (free of charge) of an account with PartQuest™ Explorer and for other details, please visit https://explore.partquest.com/.
