At ROHM, small reels of industrial grade ICs are made available to support manufacturing in small lots. In the field of industrial equipment, there are many cases in which models generally span a broad range and the number of units produced at one time is small, that is, small-volume production in large varieties is necessary. ICs supplied by tape & reel generally are in quantities of 2000 to 3000 pieces per reel, but customers complain that in small-volume production, IC stock remains unused. Hence ROHM has made available a lineup of products supporting small lots, with purchases from 250 pieces possible.
Currently offered are “-LB”-designated industrial grade ICs for LDO regulators, DC-DC converters, op-amps/comparators, and EEPROMs. A reel with 250 pieces for small-lot production has the tape & reel symbol “H2” appended to the model name. Please inquire separately regarding support for other configurations.
DC-DC Converters for Compact High-Efficiency Industrial Equipment
These are synchronous rectification step-down DC-DC convertersfor industrial equipment, incorporating power MOSFETs with a low ON-resistance. The BD9E series is rated at 40 V, and are designed for use with 12 V and 24 V industrial equipment. The BD9C series is rated at 20 V. The compact packages are an 8-pin SOP-J8 (4.90 mm × 6.00 mm × 1.65 mm), or an HTSOP-J8 (4.90 mm × 6.00 mm × 1.00 mm).
