⑤ RAGU® V 1.0 Operation Screen Explanation
2023.05.15
This article explains the operation screens of the RAGU® software.
●Main GUI
The main screen has the following 4 areas, indicated by the red rectangles (01) to (04) in the screen image.
(01) ON Switch: Enables access to RAGU
(02) DUT Control Settings: Input control signals of DUT (motor driver LSI)
(03) Graph/Plot Area: Graphs and measured values
(04) Oscilloscope Settings: Performs settings for the oscilloscope

Below are described the settings for each of the 3 areas other than the ON switch.
●DUT Control Settings
Aside from the switch ON display, the DUT control area has 4 settings: “Level”, “Computation”, “Clock output”, and “Pin voltage levels”. The table below shows settings for each of these.

| (01) Operating Mode | Switch that enables access to RAGU | |
|---|---|---|
| (02) Levels | (a) Voltage level |
| (b) Frequency level |
| (03) Computation |
| (04) CLK Output |
| (05) Pin voltage level |

●Graph/Plot Area and Oscilloscope Settings
The graph/plot area and the oscilloscope settings area are related, and so these are explained together. Broadly stated, there are settings for the “graph/plot area”, for the “channel settings”, and for “sampling evaluation”. For details of each of these, please refer to the table below the graphic image.

| (01) Graph/plot area | (a) Time-delta measurement |
|---|---|---|
| (b) Time-value display |
| (C) Horizontal scroll |
| (02) Channel settings | (a) On/Off |
| (b) Source |
| (c) Output |
| (d) Value/Div |
| (e) Range |
| (f) Setup |
| (g) Sec/Div |
| (h) Sampling rate |
| (03) Sampling evaluation | (a) Trigger |
| (b) Channel |
| (c) Current |
| (d) Voltage |
| (e) Run/Stop |
| (f) Save |
| Note: Only one slider is active at any time. The active slider will depend on the input type (voltage/current) of the currently selected channel. | ||
●Dynamic Window (Refer to “④ Explanation of RAG U V1.0 Functions”)
The dynamic window is a “DUT control setting”. It is selected by choosing “View → Dynamic Window Menu Item”.
- ・The Dynamic Settings window allows the user to preprogram a sequence of configurations to the RAGU main board (RAGU-main1-EVK-001).
- ・The Run Cycle determines the repeat count for the whole sequence.
- ・The Repeat Delay sets the time between each cycle.
- ・Click “Start” to begin the specified sequence.
●Temperature Monitor (Refer to “④ Explanation of RAG U V1.0 Functions”)
The Temperature Monitor is also a “DUT control setting”. It is selected by choosing “View → Tj Monitor Menu Item”.
- ・The Temperature Monitor window allows the user to preprogram a sequence of configurations in order to monitor the temperature at each setting.
- ・At the end of the sequence, the logged temperature data is plotted into a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.
- ・Click “Start” to begin temperature monitoring.
- ・Click “Save Chart” to plot the existing temperature log in a spreadsheet.
●Calibrate
The calibrate function is found under the Help Menu. Ensure that all oscilloscope functions are turned off before calibrating the RAGU main board (RAGU-main1-EVK-001) or the RAGU option board (RAGU-op1-EVK-001). Calibrating the boards while using the oscilloscope may result in an incorrect calibration.
